Sightline collects written peer feedback. You are being asked to trust it with candid words about people you work with, so this page answers the questions that matter, in plain language, before you write anything.
Only the cycle owner. The consent line inside the product says it exactly, and this page will not restate it differently:
Your answers are attributed to you in storage and visible only to Dave Paola. They are synthesized, never quoted, and never attributed to you in what the subject receives.
The person you write about never sees your words. Other respondents never see your words. There is no admin tier, no support staff, and no second reader.
Yes. Your name is stored with every answer and the cycle owner sees it. We will not pretend otherwise. What the subject eventually receives is a written review synthesized from everyone's input: your words are never quoted in it and never attributed to you.
In a Cloudflare D1 database operated by Enginery, a one-person company run by Dave Paola. Cloudflare hosts the database as the infrastructure provider. Nobody outside Enginery can read your answers through Sightline, and nothing is shared with, sold to, or analyzed by anyone else.
No. Sightline has no export feature of any kind: no CSV, no download, no reporting. That is a deliberate product decision, not a gap. Words written here stay here.
Yes. Every time a synthesis is read, an access-log row is written before the page renders. Reads leave a record.
Skipping is recorded as a skip and shown as one. It is a legitimate answer, and nothing will nudge you to fill it in.
Signing in with Google gives Sightline your name and email address. That is all it requests and all it stores. There are no analytics, no tracking scripts, and no cookies beyond the session that keeps you signed in.
